# CompTIA practice questions

One folder per certification, one file per exam domain:

```
content/certifications/
  a-plus/          01-core-1-mobile-devices.json … 09-core-2-operational-procedures.json
  network-plus/    01-networking-concepts.json … 05-network-troubleshooting.json
  security-plus/   01-general-security-concepts.json … 05-security-program-management-and-oversight.json
```

## Adding a question

Open the domain's file and add an object to `questions`. That's all; the site picks it up on the next build.

```json
{
  "objective": "1.2",
  "question": "Which principle grants a user only the access needed to do their job?",
  "options": ["Separation of duties", "Least privilege", "Defense in depth", "Implicit trust"],
  "answer": "B",
  "explanation": "Least privilege limits each account to the minimum rights its role needs.",
  "video": { "id": "YOUTUBE_ID", "title": "Video title", "channel": "Channel", "duration": "8:12" }
}
```

- `answer`: the letter of the right option (A–D). For two right options write `"A,C"`.
- `objective`, `explanation` and `video` are optional. `video.id` is the part after `watch?v=` in the YouTube link.
- Write original questions against CompTIA's published exam objectives. Real exam questions are confidential
  under CompTIA's candidate agreement, so don't copy them from "dumps".
- Each question gets a stable id from its text, so editing the wording resets its first-try stats; that's fine.
