Himal Electronics Launches HimSolar 500, a Low-Cost
Solar Home System

Kathmandu, 15 January: Himal Electronics Industries Pvt.
Ltd., a leading manufacturer of electrical goods, will
launch its new product, the HimSolar 500 solar home
system, on 25 January 2027 at Hotel Annapurna, Durbar
Marg, at 11 a.m.

HimSolar 500 is made in Nepal and gives lights, a fan and
mobile charging for up to eight hours a day. It has a
five-year warranty and costs Rs. 18,500, nearly 20
percent less than similar imported models. It is designed
for rural homes that face long power cuts.

"Our aim is to give every household clean and affordable
energy," said Mr. Prakash Joshi, CEO of the company.
"This product shows that quality goods can be made in
Nepal."

The Minister for Energy will inaugurate the launch, and
the product will be available from the company showrooms
and dealers across the country from 1 February 2027.
