#### Abstract

Large organizations in Nepal, such as power utilities, water boards and municipalities, still use manual readings and paper records to monitor their assets. This causes losses, delays and errors. As a computer engineer, I propose to establish Himal IoT Solutions Pvt. Ltd. in Kathmandu to design and install Internet of Things (IoT) monitoring systems for smart metering, water-level and water-quality sensing, and equipment tracking, with cloud dashboards and mobile apps. The proposed first-year investment is Rs. 1.8 crore, of which Rs. 1.2 crore is requested from the Corporation as a service contract advance and partnership. The company will start with a pilot project for the Corporation within six months. It will give the Corporation real-time data, lower losses and better service, and it will employ 20 engineers.

#### Objectives

1. To establish a registered engineering company that develops IoT-based monitoring systems.
2. To provide the Corporation with a pilot system for remote monitoring of its assets within six months.
3. To reduce manual work and revenue loss through automation and accurate data.
4. To develop local skills and create jobs for at least 20 engineers and technicians.
5. To develop products that can later be sold to other organizations.

#### Conclusion

The company will bring modern technology to meet a real need of large organizations in Nepal. The idea is technically feasible, uses local talent and is financially sound, with a payback period of about three years. I request the Corporation to review this proposal and to give me an opportunity to present it in person, so that the pilot work can start soon.
