Write a short note on major environment issues of Nepal.

## Short answer

Nepal faces deforestation, soil erosion and landslides from haphazard roads, air pollution in Kathmandu Valley, water pollution in rivers, solid waste problems, climate change impacts, biodiversity loss, and unplanned urbanization. The Environment Protection Act 2076, EIA, clean energy, sewage treatment, waste management, and community awareness are key mitigation measures.

## Answer

Nepal faces serious environmental problems due to its fragile geology, monsoon climate, poverty and unplanned development.
