Write short notes on ERP, CRM, SCM.

ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)

Integrated software that manages internal business functions - finance, HR, inventory, production, sales - through one common database. It removes duplicate data, speeds up processes and gives real-time information. Examples: SAP, Odoo.

CRM (Customer Relationship Management)

A system and strategy to manage all interactions with customers. It handles sales force automation, marketing campaigns and customer service, and stores a complete customer history. Goals: acquire, satisfy and retain customers, and raise customer lifetime value. Examples: Salesforce, Zoho.

SCM (Supply Chain Management)

Management of the flow of materials, information and money between suppliers, manufacturer, distributors, retailers and customers. It covers planning, sourcing, production, inventory, logistics and returns. Goals: lower cost, shorter lead time, right stock level and better delivery. Uses push (forecast-based) and pull (demand-based) models.

(ERP inside, CRM at customer side)

All three are enterprise systems; together they connect the internal organization (ERP), customers (CRM) and suppliers (SCM).
